Why its time for PM to go? 

My Take - There isn't anything sacrilege in the current Parliament Blockade by BJP as projected by the govt and its paid media dogs...It is indeed a prerogative of a political party to exercise its parliamentary right. Those holy souls hounding loss of parliament time and money can take a break...the colossal losses to the treasury by the mis-governance of MMS led UPA is much more 
monumental and in the process if parliament time/money is lost, it should be treated as sunk for the larger and later good...remember, it is the same obstructionist stand by BJP in 2010 resulted in 2G scam coming out in the open...and fully..this was taken to the next logical level with legal interventions which led to cancellations of 122 licenses by the SC, perhaps issued by Dalit icon Raja under the holy nose of MMS who was apparently tied to the coalition loot dharma. Apparently, from the earlier revenues of about 9000 crores, the re-acution when completely realized is likely to raise 40,000 crores to the treasury from 2G alone!..This has also set a precedent for 3G and 4G regimes (so much for Kapil Sibal's Zero Loss theory)..and for God's sake, those who sound noble about parliament disruptions leading to governance deficit! this govt has not been performing anyways! There has not been any path breaking governance except for PM's admission of 'no magic wand in the hand' mantra...CONgress's sacrosanct respect for constitutional bodies including parliament is well known - take the recent case of Rajiv Shukla asking the Dy chairperson of Rajya Sabha to call of the day even before there was any hungama! and then they say they are ready for a debate! The holy intentions of CONgress and its regional allies were made known by the obstructionism to passing the Lokpal bill in Rajya Sabha in the last session with vice president Hamid Ansari himself playing the holy villain. Now coming to the COALgate..we are hearing yet another zero loss theory by PC...its like saying go on robbery spate and in case caught, surrender the goodies, and since nothing is lost you must be ok and hence be let off - this is laughable! The fact that the PM himself was an authorized signatory means that decisions were taken under his complete wisdom (though claims that BJP CMs were opposed etc). Coal is a declared national mineral and the PM must have the last say keeping in mind the best interests of the country. Under the Prevention of Corruption Practices act, PM is absolutely culpable for the impropriety - his honesty banner withstanding yet, he may not have benefited directly, but there is no fact denying that it created a loss to the exchequer and also unlawfully benefited the crony capitalists - call it abetment of Corruption? And now for the zero loss theorists of UPA, the regime that believes in retrospective tax policies, why not revalue the 142 Coal mine blocks again? There isn't too much of coalition dharma reasons this time around and the PM should go..if not for he as a corrupt man, but for his vicarious liability of abetting corrupt, illegitimate practices - either from his ministry or his colleagues. To this extent, BJP is completely right in seeking the resignation of the PM..and now for the last argument that there needs to be a debate on the floor of the house, show me one debate in the house that has proved worth while for the country? Vote of No Confidence motion is a farce as long as votes are bought with cash or as long as there are regional parties like SP, BSP, NCP, DMK which are fully qualified with criminal dispositions. A missed call from Sonia Gandhi's political secretary Ahmed Patel to CBI who will in-turn send a blank message to any of these leaders, will leave them voting for either the govt or abstaining - so much for the confidence motions in the parliament...hence the obstructionism, hence the need for PM MMS to go....

Molestation for Consumption...

Molestation for Everybody's consumption...for self-styled moral policing brigade consumption, for activists' consumption, for politicians' consumption, for the confused/informed/evolved masses' consumption and more profoundly for media's consumption... Such is the consumption dynamics that everyone would love to hear and harp more and more on molestation...

Unfortunately in this melee, the woman becomes a victim, if I can extend the argument - a 'self inflicted Victimization' ...In the recent past it was, Guwhati and yesterday Mangalore...and there definitely is a pattern, i will explain this in a while. Before that, I am not sure if the homestay - had the necessary license to conduct late night parties, store and serve alcohol. Am also not sure if there was anything illegal about the proclaimed 'birthday partying' and if they had to be 'disturbed', and perhaps not sure if parents of these 'Students' were Ok with their daughters and sons spend a 'whole night', 'partying' away from their homes... Am sure the 'liberals', the 'seculars', the 'evolved' would like to take a jibe at my thoughts...but lets get into specifics...
First, self-styled moral policing brigade, the activists for 'protectionism' - I dont think there is much to talk about these groups, i mean they will always be there to do what they did... whether what they do is good/bad is debatable...obviously, both these groups do it for 'Consumption' and their piece of fame...and when either of the fringe group's identity gets suffixed/prefixed with 'Hindu' or say 'Woman', their consumption dynamics increases even more...and hence they will be there - the moral brigade and the protectionism activists...remember, 'Hindu' adds more to the PR Value add claim...for once, I go with the other community's conservatism...coz their moral brigade activism starts @ home!!

What baffles me more is the other two groups - the 'confused masses' who consume the media and the media themselves...the latter first - The Indian Media, the less we talk about the insanity, better it is...Be it in Guwhati/Mangalore, Media house was indeed 'complicit' in the 'crime'...they do it all for the TRPs...The channels are alerted in advance, who send the camera crews, the thugs orchestrate the event, TRPs raise, the org. wins their moment of fame and a win-win for both...I mean, its absolutely "Made for TV - Breaking News" segment...nothing else...the visuals are shared with other media house for a cost and all the media join the chorus for 'breaking news', 'exclusive reports'...huh...the so called channel with a difference 'Public TV' from Ranganath who harps that his is the most sacrosanct channel is no different either...and his channel also had called 'Swamijis' to deliberate and give a verdict! Swamijis for their piece of fame, join the bandwagon and step out of the Mutts! Heights...Anyone knowing the basics of Journalism will tell you about the time lag between an incident and newsroom reporting. Any Channel saying that they did not know the incident in advance to inform police is outright BullShit....The organisers do not want to wait till tomorrow and hence, print media is never arranged for such stakes :)

What intrigues me the most is - what ails and whats this Kolaveri all about...and I think invariably it means "We the people"...I think there are two facets of imbalances we are experiencing...Biologically, its all about 'Harmonal imbalance' :) The molesters - the males are on extra levels of testosterone levels that drives them for their animal instincts...and the progesterone plays its part, in my opinion, it manifests itself in 'embracing' more of western ideology, more of liberalized outlook, more of the hip - called the 'pub culture', manifests itself in a pseudo identity of 'Empowerment'...so much for it... The other imbalance which is the most alarming is - the 'societal imbalance'...the masses who seem to be more 'schooled' than educated, consume that embracing western ideology and its paraphernalia is all about 'the thing' today...the middle class families in the claim of 'modernism' who let their offsprings embrace the new identity, make them vulnerable knowingly or unknowingly and hence let them tagged to the lesser known ills - one of western culture, the western attire, the western ethos or the lack off all of it...its time to sit back and think...when the guardians let it all lose, the new generation Junta think they are 'free' and have 'arrived'..they see freeness in their thought process, in their choices...its for all to introspect... is this what we should have consumed from the west? Indian identity has always been one of strong morality, value systems, ethos..in the guise of freeness, today's junta embrace everything from the west and make a confused choice...even upto the extent that atheism is perceived fashionable! its ok, its their take, but shows how deeply entrenched and dangerous is the choice making in the name of liberalisation! Wish the liberalisation was only for economics....... I believe, irrespective of the community tenets, Indian Culture is absolutely the finest and one of highest credentials and unfortunately this is getting eroded...Copying western tenets in 'part' is all about creating confusions...one embraces western attire, western practices like dating, pubbing, one night stands and so on and so forth...when such confusions exist and with all the other reasons as discussed, it results in molestations, physical abuses etc..the reason I see is simple, Indians want to embrace western culture in part...in the west, with their own culture, their believes, their own thoughts, their morals, their attires, they also embrace the other ills in the name of freeness - like dating, premarital sex, live-in relationship, extramarital affairs, multiple partners etc...Indians who want to embrace the west in part, get entangled which leads to confusions...Studies show that Indians are Sex starved...be it in marriage or otherwise...and hence such missing parts and pieces of embraced 'western way' manifests itself  in various facets like the physical abuses, various other societal ills there-off...at the end of the day its the women who bear the brunt...but, remember it requires TWO sides for a coin...

Phew...all that I want to say is this - we Indians need to make more informed choices in the way we embrace  and reflect upon our culture, the ethos, the values and the morals...else it will be too late before the western social ills like teen pregnancies, premarital sex, the dating, the live-in relationships, the extramarital affairs, the divorces etc will get deeply entrenched and cut across a sorry figure in our society...it could happen in my family or yours and before we realize it... and when we do so it could be late...so think and spread the word...Lets take whats good from the West and leave the Rest back to them!

The guy who always gave statements like 'The administration has failed completely', 'the people are suffering', 'the investment climate has dried up as the govt is in no hurry to setup a single window clearance framework', 'the govt is not serious about governance', 'the city infrastructure is crumbling (and state some figures from China?)', 'the bureaucracy is inefficient and inadequate', 'the government's priorities are misplaced'.... 

:) The point that I am trying to make is this - as with all, in our fellow citizens/countrymen, I believe that Regionalism, Castiesm etc are deeply ingrained in our DNAs and hence manifests in whatever ways at appropriate times, despite one holding high offices of CFO etc from the corporate...MangaLuru MangaLuru Bhai-Bhai...or am I thinking too much as I am always alleged to be? ;)

The Indian Economy seems to be having a free fall without any bounds…None of the vital parameters like IIP numbers, Inflation figures, Rupee stability seems to be doing good and now comes the worst fears of lackluster GDP numbers…The aggregate demand function seems to be clinging on only by the consumption spending which is a scary proposition in the medium term simply because of the fact that any growth rate which Is not supported by Investment function could lose its trajectory sooner or later. We are sitting on burgeoning fiscal deficits, higher inflationary trends, low investment sentiments, widening current account deficit, perhaps feeding to the twin deficit…Am afraid that the consumption spend in itself could be highly driven by autonomous spending rather than the marginal propensity to consume as the disposable income component tends to shrink - attributable to the high inflation and uncertainty in the job sector..

Next comes the G – the government spending – the less we talk about this the better we are – simply because of the fact that the G is always driven by political posturing, lacking any direction, accountability and hence not reaching the needy – there is little hope that the G contributes to the sagging GDP in the near future, unless there existed visionary leadership. The various macro economic problems of the current regime at the centre is of its own making – the awful mismanagement of the economy by the UPA leadership. The observers always believed that UPA was the best shot to the country given the stability it could give despite the coalition/khichdi team. The PM for every other instance now sights the coalition compulsions.

 The political analysts also gave thumbs up to Sonia – Manmohan model – vis a vis – a differentiating line between the political drive and governance drive..it looked all hunky dory, admin team rolled out ambitious schemes after schemes, to keep the political leadership happy – without any concern for strengthening the economy without any reforms whatsoever. In retrospect, I would like to give thumbs up for Sonia Gandhi as she had her way… and at the same time cry a foul against Manmohan – for giving a damn care about economic fundamentals.

Infact, he may have been extremely overrated as a capable economist – given the liberalization story of 1991 that is eulogized around him. Infact, again in retrospect, the 91 story must be attributed to the political leadership of then PM Narasimha Rao. Truly, the division of powers between Sonia and Manmohan has not worked. This UPA regime is driving the country into inexplicable and implausible straits! Loss of business confidence, no effective G spends, high on corruption, Aam Admi reeling under high inflation etc has made things worse and will worsen. We are easily staring at stagflation – a structural economic failure which the government is not ready to accept – this is clearly not a cyclical downturn, there is something more to it, perhaps global macro-economic scenario is one factor (lowered exports scenario), but not all - as the govt is trying to make it..

Manmohan Singh must clearly know from his 91 experiments that the structural issues needs structural solutions and not mere political lip services..The time has come for stronger fiscal measures…given that the monetary policy making body of RBI has given its best shot – trying to support the fiscal situation, salvaging the liquidity, controlling the Re depreciation, the interest rates and the inflationary trends to an extent.. Clearly, the ball is now with fiscal policy making mandate of the country – the finance minister and the PM. From my economic science knowledge, I believe that the macro economic parameters are self correcting with time, but only if there is no intentional blunders to harm it – unfortunately seems to be the situation today. Am ok with the hike in fuel prices – given that fuel and gold imports easily attributable to the high import spends, the widening current account deficits and the pressure on Rupee thereof. High subsidies on fuels will take this country nowhere. But again, there is more to it than what meets the eye – given the fact that crude import to usable fuel costs Rs 42 or so and rest for the various taxes! High fuel costs only means translated higher prices and hence inflation in the medium run…again adds to the lowered purchasing power, negative sentiments, perhaps aiding to the low investment mindset. I think India story may still be living its last few breaths and its time that the govt comes out of policy paralysis – the lowest of political fallout like FDI in civil aviation itself seems to be a hot potato, God save the FDI in multi brand retail, other economic reforms like lowering subsidies, introducing Direct tax codes, uniform GST policies…The current FDI seems to be too liquid in the form of equity FIIs and hence not sustainable. India needs to attract long term FDIs. Key policy measures, enhanced Investor confidence holds the key to the revival. The periodic slump in IIP always had a message and the fiscal policy makers ignored it and here we are today. Add to it the low investment confidence and suicidal amendments like the one with telecom policies, the corruption there of and things of such kind will only make the mood negative. Again, Fiscal prudence is paramount as they are viewed extremely sensitively by investors. Increasing the tax base may not be a bad idea, but G Spend aligned only with political gains with little impact on either the much needed thrust to infrastructure or the societal cause could only be termed Criminal..Fiscal consolidation (and hence better ratings for the country and hence the capital inflows), the bold reforms, check in corruption are some of those measures which is the need of the hour! In Economics, the ‘effects’ always comes with a lag. It looks like that UPA 1 may have inherited the growth story partially from NDA and some from good global outlook then and if so, the current mess of UPA 2 is derived from UPA 1! Any inaction to take decisive steps in the short term may be fatal for the country in the long term – perhaps, as with all the macro economists, Manmohan Singh being one, believes that all are dead in the long run!

So Called 'Career' interlinked to Global Macro Economic conditions - uncertainity is the name of the game - but they call it 'New Normal' ('they' are figuring out what it is ;)), falling rupee, Increasing fuel prices, 33% YoY jump of food prices, 10+% fuel hikes, some other hikes forgotten!, pity all the fellow souls working at institutionalized organisations which runs on machine bureaucracy (which only offers uncrafty, confused answers)...the crony capitalism, the political mafia that sucks, the media that is sold out.. is there an 'Art of Surviving helplessness' Course around? do let me know, coz only laggards and haggards can survive with the thought that something profound, intriguing, startling is gonna happen...huh.

He Fought, he owned a cause, he built a party, he became a mass leader, he won, he delivered fairly well  (despite the media, the mining mafia, the party internal bickering), he cried, he survived, he quit the seat, he strategized, he is sulking....I think he needs to Move On....

Yes, BSY... firstly, thank you for bringing BJP this far in South India. Thank you for all the pro people, pro farmer budgets you gave, thank you for holding on the party despite the odds from Bellary strong men. May be time alone will tell if there was a larger conspiracy to oust you or rather your inner voice should tell you if it was your own making...

I have a few Qsns -

A party that believes in Nation First, Party Next and Self Last, a Rashtriya Swayam Sevak - does your current demeanor reflect well Mr BSY?

• You yourself went thru the trauma from Reddy brothers, was there a need to take legislators to a resort? more so when the state is reeling under Draught and governance deficit?
• PM's photo in your office is Ok, but one of Sonia Gandhi? but Why?
• Pooh Poohing the party leadership? Remember BJP and Left are the only parties which believes in cadre based party setup with little scope for dynasty whims(though you got your son an MP ticket!)
• Throwing a spanner in the wheel every now and then and hence preventing the incumbent CM from delivering - it hurts the state, the people, the party, are you aware?

What is that you want to decide? What is that you want to see? Thrown out from party and gain sympathy?

Mr BSY, a barking dog's 'Often Bytes' may not be sustainable, even among your own followers. Remember the way the other mass leaders like Uma Bharthi, Kalyan Singh, Keshu Bhai Patel etc faded into oblivion... Party may have suffered, but not at the cost of the discipline, not at the cost of the image - so much that the urban electorates connect to. I believe you are done with your chance, you can don the role of a mentor and may be help in delivering improved governance..  I do hope you come clean and sincerely believe better sense prevails until then...perhaps, only if power was not so lusty and enticing...

The Price for not Being 'Normal'?

Yes, its about the unfortunate demise of KAS officer Mr Mahantesh. A life cut short for not being normal (Call it New Normal - ala the corporate lingo..).

Its extremely sad, disgusting and feeling of helplessness again. Is this the price one has to pay for being honest? This is the second death of a senior officer in Karnataka in the last few weeks (earlier one being that of a forest officer near Dandeli reserve forest).

Prima Facie Mr Mahantesh was attacked by real estate mafia - for investigating alleged illegal cooperative layouts formation/allocation mafia - including the one of BEML real estate dealing which eventually reached the high office of PMO...

The larger question is where is it gonna take us? Is this what the 'New Normal' will be like? Be honest, be upright, live with integrity and pay one's life?

In this country, Corruption kills....May the soul rest in peace, such sacrifices will be remembered...atleast from my heart....You are no less than a true soldier who served this country... Thank You.

A short thought on this....At the outset, I would like to congratulate Aamir Khan for yet another master piece which has a message and a specific theme/purpose...truly Aamir Style...I have been a fan of him for years now - of all his classics like Lagaan, Rang De Basanti, Taare Zameen Par and so on...That he takes Rs 3 crore per episode or so (as i heard it) is a different matter and for another day...

Well, my point is something else now...I wonder what kind of nation are we? The first two episodes - about Female Foeticide and Child Pysical Abuse...Was it any less known a fact about these societal issues? On the similar lines rampant corruption as an Evil - was it known any lesser  before Anna Hazare movement last year? Why is it that it requires for us Indians (- more so the middle class, the urbanites and the so called educated) - a wake up call or say a 'mass frenzy' / wave to create awareness?

My greatest worry is that the current wave of Satyameva Jayate will die down its natural death after the 13-14 planned episodes...remember, the way Anna Hazare movement lost its steam...i think this will do no good to us Indians. We need holistic thought-process to collectively bring about a change...it requires an attitude change..the anna hazares, the amir khans will do their bit....but the larger cause is won if all of us can follow the three things - one - live a good sensible life with values and ethos, two - think macro, i mean think from a bigger perspective of being a responsible citizen, three - influence the people around to bring about a change. I think with this, we can even remotely think about moving in the right direction and collectively address the social issues. Unfortunately, i am still speaking in the senses of 'educated', 'elitist', 'urbanite' civilians...God save and help us - for the larger masses in this country are the ones who do not belong to the former categories...and neither do they watch 'Star' 'Plus'...

Well, couple of years ago, i started a blog page...I thought i would be a regular blogger. Life had other plans and the enthu faded :) For, it was too longish, too political :) Off late, i have been using FB as a micro blogging page - remember, it asks everytime - 'Whats on your mind?!' :) ... @ the moment, i again feel that i need to get back to a blog page, to share my piece of mind...and hence 'This Way N That Way'.....i will use this page to share my thoughts more regularly (hope so ;)) and also keep it short...not to mention, that i will share my piece of mind on every aspect/topic on which i believe i have a point of view, may be including 'personal' reflections on life... perhaps, time permitting...
